i do.
this is not wow or eq which is meant to be played constantly.
treat it the same as a console game you are tired of for now .
after all if you dont play it is not costing you money.
play or do something else until the urge hits to play some more.
if you force yourself to play you will hate it.
maybe NIGHTFALL will have something that will really make you want to play more.

I got the protector title for both Tyria and Canthan for my assassin and am also getting a tad bored. I went to battle isles and did pvp and even that gets boring after a while. I don't like grind so I can't be bothered to go for the other titles. Also completed both games with my other characters...
Sometimes I just go and help ppl out in missions but it does get boring too.
Maybe you and I need to take a break and play something else. Thing is I've played and completed most of the other worthy rpgs...like Oblivion, Morrowind and its expansions, NWN and its expansions and horrible programming, KOTOR and KOTOR II, Diablo 2 LOD...
WOW I refuse to touch cuz of the monthly sub.

Play PvP. You might have a hard time at first (with finding groups etc) but eventually it's very rewarding. PvP is the only thing what keeps me going in GW.

What Loviatar says is dead on...
I too keep loading up Rome Total War (good game); especially since I'm still waiting for Oblivion to get an official patch. hehe
I don't think Factions was meant to be played constantly. There's just not enough to do to keep the player base busy for the full 6 months between chapter releases.
I have seen people suggest you could try PvP; but even some Pvpers I know are, in their words "sick" of Factions and GW. edit: like the post right above mine now says - I do not like the PvP game at all in GW, but many do.
So yea, a break might be good.
/end rambling

ANet was smart. They knew that people would be complaining about how 10 hours to beat factions is too easy. So, they made titles Some of these titles can be really time draining, so less people would complain. Try getting 90 elites, opening 100 chests and such, then quit until nightfall

Only "rewarding" thing about PvP is alliance battles (Can get good money off amber/jade) Heroes Ascent (Ranks for titles, show off, etc) and know that your better then the team you beat

Rewarding in the knowledge that your team beat all your opponents? I dunno, winning alone is pretty rewarding to me.

I too am getting really bored, sometimes I don't even play and just read the forums all day. Makes me feel like I played GW and didn't even know it.
Wish they would come out with the purchasable character slots soon.

I understand OP's feeling. I'm not a hardcore player, so today when I got the last skill I needed to fill out my two professions I kinda felt like "well, what's next?"
I think I'll play Suiko5 and Shadow Hearts 3.

I'm pretty bored with Guild Wars PVE and PVP.
To me PVP in GW is very boring after rank 9 since there are no longer any worthwhile rewards worth continuing to play for.
Titles are not implemented well since you can only display one at a time, hence there is no point in achieving titles that are less respectable than the best one you currently have. Ie: A player with "Renowned Hero" will have no purpose achieving "Collector of Wisdom" or something like that since "Renowned Hero" is a much more respectable title and cannot be displayed if a worse one is put up on your character.
If the devs really wanna keep people playing, they should remove all limits on the number of titles you can display, thereby making there be an actual point to earn ones that are worse than what you already have. You have to earn each and every title you have, so you should be able to display all of them at the same time.
Another problem is that there is not enough things to spend money on once you have the armor you want.
You can only use one minipet at a time so collecting more than one of them is pointless. You should be able to release as many minipets as you own, all at the same time. And be able to release them in towns and PVP areas. That would make collecting all the minipets have a point and give players more things to do.
In conclusion: no more rewards = boring game. The devs can boost the longevity of Guild Wars to some extent if they fix the flaws with the current rewards, and add new ones.

See that's what I was trying to get at with my post...whatever happened to playing a game and its gameplay as its own reward?
As an example, I actually liked playing Random Arenas before all this Gladiator title stuff and it was always rewarding in itself if we somehow got the 10 wins and made it to Team Arenas. We were just winging it and seeing how far we could get. If we lost at 8 or 9, it was like "Wow, we had a great run..." Now, I get this feeling of getting robbed of a gladiator point and feeling I just wasted my time the past 8 or 9 games. The game lost part of its enjoyment.
I play a lot of other online games (mostly FPS's, RTS's)...some of them have persistent stat tracking (Blizzard ladder for Frozen Throne, some Day of Defeat: Source servers I play on have a ranking setup) and most others don't (UT2k4, Quake III, CS). I honestly don't give a crap what my kill:death ratio is or how many headshots I've made in those games. that are tracking them. They're good for bragging rights, but it's a friggin game...who cares. Those games I play because they're just fun to play. Moreso, if I'm playing them with friends.
I dunno...those aren't RPGs though, and that's one of the points of RPGs... where you have to feel a sense of progress or achievement with your character.

With all the new discoveries about using an assassin properly I'm tempted to start a new one and work with it, but the idea of waiting hours to get into a PUG turns me off a bit, I donno, I may still try.
Other than that, all I am doing is helping out guildies with my monk and occasionally doing the Fissure or one of the elites in Cantha. I'm pretty bored also.

I play GW when I feel so, thus no need to play by force. For example pro wow gamer play it by force, because he knew that if he don't, someone else will find the uber gosu last update item before him and own him on the battleground, thus gaining more points.
There are a lot more games to play for refreshment, so you should have a little from everything, not just play till it's dry dead. Before 3 years I was like that too btw
Most people that play GW are above 22, thus they study or (and) work. And that is the point of the game - you need to play it when you want, and still you can retain your personal life. Btw watch the review of the new warhammer game. It is going to be somekind like GW in context - a game to enjoy, not LIVE in it.
